Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you service?

I service Alpine, Highland, American Fork, Lehi, Cedar Hills, Suncrest (Draper and Highland side), and Pleasant Grove. Outside of these areas I do charge a travel fee.

How do I start booking with you?

First you will need to schedule a Meet and Greet where I can meet you are your pet to discuss what type of care you will need. After the initial meet and greet, I will send you a New Client Booking form to schedule your first service!

What makes you different than other pet sitting services in the area?

Alpine Pet Care differs from similar services in the area for a number of reasons. First being that I am the sole owner of my business, and I intend to keep it that way. I believe in trustworthy and personal pet care services, which is why I require a meet and greet before booking with any new client. I do not like to view our business as simply a “pet watchers”, We are pet caretakers. Your pets happiness and safety is our priority. As mentioned in my About Me page, I am also confident in my own and my employees abilities to keep pets safe and happy under our care. I have 2 years of veterinary clinic experience, as well as being Red Cross Animal Emergency Aid certified, and my employees are certified and veterinary trained as well. I am also experienced in working with high anxiety pets, as well as those with special medical needs. We are bonded and insured as well, meaning that we are covered for accidents, injury and damage or theft in your home. Beyond this, we keep up to date and knowledgable with the latest veterinary approved training techniques, so we are able to continue or broaden training you may have already been working on with your pet.

What if there is an emergency while I am away?

Should any type of illness or injury occur while you are away, you will be contacted promptly and your pet will be immediately transported to a veterinary clinic if necessary.

Can you administer medication?

Yes. Any medication that you personally administer, we can do. This includes pills, liquids and injected medications. If your pet does require medications, we do ask you to walk us through your medicating routine at our meet and greet to assure you and your pets comfort.

Do you sit aggressive dogs?

I am experienced working with high anxiety animals, and while I am able to work with initially anxious or fearful animals, I do not sit for any animal that has a bite record. I will work with owners on a case by case basis to see if I will be a good fit for your anxious pet, but do reserve the right to refuse service.

How do I pay for services?

We will send an invoice via Wave invoice services which has a credit card pay portal. Cash payment is always accepted and preferred! We can also accept Venmo @alpinepetcare for tips or otherwise

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 48 hours before your in home sitting booking with no fee. There is a 10% cancellation fee inside of those 48 hours. Cancellation of any other service must be done 24 hours before, otherwise you are issued a service credit to reschedule in lieu of a refund.

How do I check up on my pet while I am away?

With any service, I provide pictures and or videos of your pet so you can keep up with them while you are away! I know the pain of missing your best friend, and I am often taking pictures of pets whenever they do something cute or funny and I love to share these moments with you!
